Auditions for Musical "The Amen Corner"
Talent needed for the upcoming theatre play "The Amen Corner". Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Additional info: Prepare to sing twelve measures of a song of your choice. Preferable a Gospel piece (But no requirement) Musical training will be an asset (But not a requirement) Singers will be asked to sing with others on callback. The Music Director will select and teach the music for call-back Actors, Please be ready to read the script. Please be prepared to stay if the director or musical director wants you to read or sing. Be Prepared to Move Please bring your headshot and performance resume, if you have them. Bring your calendar with you in order to declare any conflict dates for rehearsals. REHEARSALS Rehearsals will begin on Tuesday, November 12 to Thursday, November 14 and will generally run Sundays through Thursdays from 6:30-9:30 p.m. Not every actor and member of the congregation will be called to every single rehearsal. Directors will do their best to schedule around your availability if you give your "conflict dates" in advance. TECHNICAL REHEARSALS Technical Rehearsals are mandatory for all performers. These rehearsals are scheduled to take place: Saturday, January 4 (2:00-8:00 p.m.) Sunday, January 5 (2:00-8:00 p.m.) Monday, January 6 25 (6:00-11:00 p.m.) Tuesday, January 7 (6:00-11:00 p.m.) Wednesday, January 8 (6:00-11:00 p.m.) The Amen Corner runs for a total of 12 performances from January 9-26, 2025. Thursdays, January 9, 16, & 23: Call at 6/6:30 p.m. Show at 7:30 p.m. Fridays, January 10, 17, & 24: Call at 6/6:30 p.m. Show at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, January 11, 18, & 25: Call at 6/6:30 p.m. Show at 7:30 p.m. Sundays, January 12, 19, & 26: Call at 1/1:30 p.m. Show at 2:30 p.m. To be considered, please apply.
