About the project: Storyline: Lilavati’s Tower follows the journey of Lilavati, an intelligent, mischievous, and curious young woman who has spent her life confined in a stifling tower with her Aunt Nima, and her Uncle Taarush. Her dreams of exploring the world are sustained only by her books and a hidden collage of pictures depicting the places she longs to visit, along with sketches of clothes she wishes to design. However, her aspirations start to crumble when her family brings a new suitor, Dhruv, to the tower, intending to arrange a marriage. Her uncle insists that this is her last chance to become a wife and no longer be a burden to the family. As Lilavati gets to know Dhruv, she realizes he is not the man she envisioned. Torn between the cultural expectation to become a submissive wife and her desire for freedom, Lilavati faces a difficult decision. Ultimately, she chooses to break free from the constraints of tradition and escapes the tower, determined to pursue her dreams and forge her own path. Rate: $250/day.
