Description:

Casting "Wonderland", a fantasy drama feature film. I am mainly looking to cast actors in main and supporting roles as well as extras for certain scenes. Longline: a 25 year old writer suffering from nightmares and visions, journeys back to the world she once visited as a child in order to right some wrongs , restore peace to the land and defeat it's evil queen who has ulterior motives of her own. a young writer suffering from nightmares and visions after visiting Wonderland as a child and being committed to a mental institution as a result. She soon grows up to write the "Alice in Wonderland" book and must suddenly journey back to Wonderland to find herself and restore peace. The actress must portray a complex emotional range— curiousness, vulnerability, strength, confusion, and wonder.

The White Rabbit / William RiceMale29-31 y.o.Latino / Hispanic White / Caucasian Asian

An inhabitant of Wonderland who acts as as Alice's mentor of sorts and her love interest. He helps her on her journey to Wonderland and often is the voice of reason to her, giving her "very good advice" when she needs it. Described as good natured, warm, charming and kind hearted but mostly nervous. Must balance gentleness with a sense of mystery and depth.

The Queen of Hearts / Raven HartFemale28-29 y.o.African-American Latino / Hispanic White / Caucasian Asian

The unruly tyrant of Wonderland who rose to power after Alice has forgotten about the land. A cold-hearted ruler, she vows to stay in power by any means and is not afraid to punish those who defy her. After Alice returns, she sees her as a threat and is determined to stop her to continue being queen. Her only source of comfort is her husband, The Knave. MUST: exude authority, ruthlessness, and command with moments of emotional intensity.

Catherine / The Blue CaterpillarFemale26-30 y.o.African-American Latino / Hispanic White / Caucasian Asian

Another inhabitant, Catherine acts the oracle of Wonderland and serves as a another guide to Alice. She more grounded and straightforward than other Wonderland characters. Catherine is aware of Wonderland’s decay and the Queen’s tyrannical rule, offering guidance to Alice about her journey of self-discovery. She is recognizable by her signature hookah. MUST: exude wisdom, with a touch of sarcasm and comedic timing while maintaining emotional depth.

The Knave of Hearts / Kingston HartMale29-30 y.o.African-American Latino / Hispanic White / Caucasian Asian Middle Eastern

The co-ruler of Wonderland and the meek, subservient husband of the Queen. the Knave is a attempts to assert himself but is often silenced by the Queen’s dominance. He seems out of place as a ruler, and his discomfort is clear. Although not as tyrannical as his wife, it is shown that he still loves her and is often sympathetic. Described as loyal and compassionate but mostly weak-minded

An inhabitant of Wonderland who mainly resides in the dark woods. The Cat is a mischievous, otherworldly creature who helps Alice in cryptic ways. He seems unaffected by Wonderland's decay and his mysterious nature makes him unpredictable, though he remains fond of Alice. The Cat has a habit of creeping others out with his signature creepy smile MUST: be able to balance mystery and whims with sly, playful quality.

Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dum (siblings)Both genders22-24 y.o.African-American Latino / Hispanic White / Caucasian Asian

Twin siblings who act as the Queen’s enforcers, darkly comedic, and thrive on causing trouble. The twins share a twisted sense of humor and loyalty to the Queen although they are not as evil as one thinks. The twins often argue with each other over doing their jobs. Dee: is the oldest of the two and is more levelheaded Dum: is the youngest and cowardly but aggressive. MUST: Both actors must have good chemistry with each other, playing off each other’s lines with a natural rhythm.

Ace (Captain of the Guards)Male30-33 y.o.African-American Latino / Hispanic White / Caucasian Asian Indian/South Asian

A playing card who is The Queen’s loyal captain. A strict, disciplined soldier who is utterly devoted to the Queen’s rule and will carry out her orders without hesitation. Described as sharp, strategic, and unflinching in completing his duties. MUST: be able to portray authority, discipline, and menace. The actor should have an intimidating screen presence.

The Mad Hatter / Matthew HuntMale29-31 y.o.White / Caucasian

The Hatter is a charismatic yet unhinged character with a flair for eccentricity. He has, has a complex relationship with Alice and acts as a representation of the madness Alice tries to come to terms with. Hatter is known for his unusual nature and knack for tea parties MUST: have range and be able to switch between manic, whimsical energy and moments of vulnerability or depth.

The March Hare / Marvin HaleMale27-29 y.o.African-American Latino / Hispanic White / Caucasian Asian

The Hatter’s jittery, hyperactive best friend. The Hare is erratic and frenzied, often speaking in half-completed thoughts. Though seemingly nonsensical, he has flashes of insight and acts with loyalty toward the Hatter. MUST channel nervous, manic energy, providing a mix of comic relief and unsettling tension.

Mathilde LiddellFemale27-28 y.o.White / Caucasian

Alice’s older sister. Mathilde is caring, grounded, and protective. Mathilde serves as Alice’s connection to reality and tries to keep her focused on the present. MUST: convey warmth and concern, but also frustration and a sense of helplessness when dealing with Alice’s mental health.

Dr. Charles Dodgson (old and young)Male33-50 y.o.African-American White / Caucasian

A psychiatrist who treated Alice in the mental hospital. Young Dodgson appears in flashbacks during Alice’s time in the hospital, while Old Dodgson appears in the present He’s both authoritative and empathetic but represents the medical system that failed Alice in some ways. Needs to have a sense of professionalism and calm, with underlying frustration or regret.

The Dormouse / Daphne MilesFemale21-22 y.o.African-American Latino / Hispanic White / Caucasian Asian Indian/South Asian

The Dormouse is a soft-spoken happy go-lucky and sleepy companion to the Mad Hatter and March Hare. She has an underlying wisdom that surfaces unexpectedly. Her lethargy and introspective demeanor contrast with the Hatter and Hare's energy, offering a quiet strength. She is most notably present during the tea party. The actress should convey a sleepy, introspective state with occasional moments of sharpness or insight, embodying a character who is often underestimated.

Joanna (Alice’s Mother) & Chris Liddell (Alice’s Father)Both genders40-50 y.o.White / Caucasian

Alice's parents who first send her away to the mental hospital. They both are worried about their daughter's mental state after hearing about Wonderland. Alice's Mother: practical, supportive, but often worried about Alice’s well-being. Alice’s father. more distant and reserved, unsure how to handle Alice’s behavior but supportive of his wife.

A kindly nurse at the mental hospital who acts maternal to young Alice and watches her during her stay. Seen only in flashbacks.

A wise but bumbling character, Dodo is one of Wonderland's more peculiar figures. He is best friends with the Dormouse. He represents a kind of misguided authority in Wonderland’s strange hierarchy and is present during the tea party
