Singing Audition for "Believe" Play

Performers are needed for the upcoming show "Believe". Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: It’s ten days before Christmas, and Alex Norton is struggling. He’s always loved Christmas, but the shine has left his favorite holiday. He sees Christmas as nothing more than an over-hyped, greedy, present-grabbing time of year. Where is the peace in this season that’s supposed to be all about the Prince of Peace? Alex wants to believe in something… but what? Filled with warmth and laughter and brightened by traditional Christmas songs, everyone touched by this play will find something in which they can truly… Believe! Additional info: Please dress appropriately and expect to have your photo taken after you have signed in. Please do not bring props to the audition. Also, the casting committee requests that you do not wear costumes or face paint. All actors are required to audition with a self-selected 1-to-2-minute monologue – preferably Christmas-themed. Monologues can be from a poem, play, musical, movie, or a dramatic “reading” from a favorite story. Singing: Adults – Away in a Manger Rehearsals: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays The first rehearsal is Monday, October 7th – Mandatory attendance by all cast/crew and parent/guardian is required. Generally, weekday rehearsals will be from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm. Saturday rehearsal times vary – please check the schedule. An in-depth rehearsal schedule is provided at the first rehearsal. Additional rehearsals may be called, if needed. Rehearsals may be limited to small groups with various arrival and dismissal times. Rehearsal attendance is crucial, but no absences are allowed unless disclosed in registration form conflicts. The inability to attend rehearsals affects casting eligibility.
