About the project: Macbeth is one of William Shakespeare's most powerful and popular tragedies, exploring the destructive power of ambition, guilt, and the supernatural. Set in Scotland, the play follows the rise and fall of Macbeth, a valiant warrior who, spurred by a prophecy from three witches and the manipulations of his wife, Lady Macbeth, murders King Duncan to seize the throne. As Macbeth ascends to power, his reign is marked by paranoia, madness, and further bloodshed, ultimately leading to his tragic downfall. Additional info: Callbacks: Sunday, October 20th, 7pm - 11pm Time Commitment: Rehearsals: October 27th - December 21st, called determined by actor availability, evening rehearsals expected Tech: January 5th - January 9th Run: January 11th - January 26th, Saturdays at 7:30pm and Sundays at 3pm If interested, please apply by October 19th by 11pm. Pick your favorite of the included sides or another Shakespeare monologue and submit a self tape, as well as headshot and resume. Because some scenes involve fighting, please also let directors know your comfortability and experience with stage combat.
