About the project: SYNOPSIS: The world-famous Willy Wonka is opening the gates to his mysterious factory…but only to a lucky few. Young Charlie Bucket and four other golden ticket winners will embark on a life-changing journey through Wonka’s world of pure imagination including chocolate waterfalls, nutty squirrels and the great glass elevator, all to be revealed by Wonka's army of curious Oompa-Loompas. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is your golden ticket to producing a crowd-pleasing, outrageous ensemble musical with plenty of delicious roles. Additional info: WHAT TO PREPARE: Please pick a song from the audition packet attached and prepare at least 32 bars. All auditions must be memorized (no exceptions) and sung with a YouTube backing track as there is no accompanist. There will be a group dance call after every 10 auditioners. Please plan to stay for a bit after your vocal audition. REHEARSALS: Sunday, Monday & Wednesday evenings beginning in November 2024.
