"From Brooklyn To Boca" Comedic Play Needs Actors

Auditions for "From Brooklyn To Boca" show. Seeking a diverse, multi-ethnic cast of actors (+2 understudies) with excellent acting ability and strong comedic timing. About the project: SYNOPSIS: When Regina Rifiuto’s husband, Frank, decides to rat on his 'crime’ family, their ‘real’ family turns to Witness Protection, moving from shady Brooklyn to sunny Boca Raton, where these not-so-perfect Catholics struggle to blend in as near-perfect Jews!A ‘Fish out of Water’ story. Where their ‘mob mentality’ gets their culture cancelled. From Brooklyn to Boca, from Meatballs to Matzoh, where The Sopranos meet The Goldbergs – on stage! Rate: Actors will be compensated for both rehearsals and performances; $200/week for rehearsals and $400/week for performances. WHAT TO PREPARE: Scripts will be provided for a cold reading. Please bring your headshot/resume. Dressing the part is strongly encouraged. REHEARSALS BEGIN: December 1, 2024 (5 Weeks). 6–10 pm, Mondays–Thursdays; 2-6 pm, Sundays (VERY LIGHT schedule for the Christmas Holidays) PERFORMANCE DATES: January 9th through January 19th, 2025. 10 Performances. Evenings 7:30 pm, Thursdays, Fridays, & Saturdays; Matinees 2 pm, Saturdays and Sundays.
