Meredith Wilson's six-time, Tony Award-winning musical comedy has been entertaining audiences since 1957 and is a family-friendly story to be shared with every generation. Stages students from past to present will present this great story about a fast-talking traveling salesman. Harold Hill. as he cons the people of River City, Iowa, into buying instruments and uniforms for a kids' band that he vows to organize - this, despite the fact that he doesn't know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian, the librarian, who transforms him into a respectable citizen by curtain's fall. Additional info: Rehearsal Dates: October 14, 2024 – December 5, 2024. Rehearsals are flexible being held Monday through Friday plus some Saturdays. Performance Dates: December 6,7,8,12,13,14,15,19,20,21, 2024 What To Prepare: Please prepare song given and ONE short monologue from this audition packet. Directors highly recommend memorizing your material, but you are welcome to hold your audition packet if you need to. Please see the attachment for more details.
