The Music of Life Itself Casting Call

The Music of Life Itself is a 15 minute film short drama narrative. We follow the dark path of grief as Nick spirals towards suicide aided by alcohol and isolation. In the film we see Nick, a recently widowed man suffering with severe depression and alcohol abuse. He walks to the edge of suicide but is turned back by memories of his late wife. Music is the catalyst for his healing and he finds himself touched by the meaningful offering of a jazz blues musician. In the end we see him reengaging with family and turning away from the bottle. A deeply touching narrative with expressive emotional performances’ pair with moody cinematography to create a rich world within the shadow play of light and dark.
