Acting Job in "The Beanstalk" Film

About the project: Jack, the sole inheritor of his deceased mothers plants, transforms his home into a disheveled den of foliage and dirt to make up for his absence before her passing. While pruning plants, his mothers ashes plummet into an azalea bush, which buds new life that embeds itself into Jack, who is now “with child” with a horrifying, yet cute, plant creature which forces him to stay home. Jack’s absence from his daily life causes him to lose his job and he must call upon his remaining family to prevent him from being evicted, and birth the child. Rate: UBCP/ACTRA or Equivalent. Unfortunately no monetary compensation, however an excessive amount of crafty and catering will be provided. Additional information: Audition Location Vancouver. A deeply empathetic yet avoidant man who carries the weight of his grief from his mothers passing visibly. His mid-30s disheveled look mirrors his dead-end job that offers little satisfaction or hope for advancement. He finds himself obsessively caring for his mothers plants due to the guilt he feels for not being there when she was ill, and for when she eventually passed. Self-reliant and deeply caring, Samantha empathizes with Jack but believes he's capable of so much more. She's opinionated and not afraid to be herself, however hides a deep insecurity as she knows she wasn't her mothers favorite. She re-learns the value of family and doesn't hesitate to do the right thing.
Rieseman is a no-nonsense landlord who takes their role very seriously. They are pragmatic and often seen as aloof or detached. Their primary focus is on maximizing the profitability of their properties, and they approach work with a meticulous, almost obsessive attention to detail.
The Bailiff is almost childlike in their energy, they are thrilled to be in a position that allows them to wield a modicum of authority. They relish the opportunity to mimic the behavior of a real police officer, often treating even mundane tasks with an over-the-top sense of importance.
Roger is defined by his crankiness and a need to assert his authority, despite his relatively minor position as an assistant manager. He derives a perverse satisfaction from wielding his small amount of power, often using it to belittle and control those around him.
