The Lost Museum Haunted Adventure at Gallows Hill Museum Theatre
Looking for Tour Guides (actors) and Scare Technicians for our Lost Museum Haunted Adventure. The Lost Museum is an interactive, walk-through attraction filled with special effects. This is our elevated version of a guided haunted house. Guests must escape the abandoned rooms of a mysterious museum, led by their Tour Guide. The Lost Museum will be running daily from September 28th - November 3rd, with staff hours from 9:45 AM - 6:15 PM. The pay rate for both positions is $20 per hour. Rehearsals will be scheduled based on availability through September. Full time and part time hours are available for the duration of the run. Auditions are required for the Tour Guide role, which is typically cross trained with the Scare Tech position. In-person auditions are preferred, but self-tape submissions will also be accepted. Those interested in only the Scare Tech position will be scheduled in-person or phone interviews.
2 roles
The Tour Guide is responsible for leading their guests through the rooms of The Lost Museum. Memorization of brief sets of lines for each room is required for this role, as is the ability to walk up and down stairs and safely make your way through dimly lit areas. Improvisational and interpersonal skills are important for this role due to the audience-interactive nature of the attraction. This role is often cross-trained with the Scare Tech position.
Scare Technicians create, facilitate, and reset “scares” behind the scenes of the Lost Museum, using props and puppets and briefly appearing as ghostly characters. Tactful use of props and dexterity in dimly lit areas are necessary for this role. Auditions are not required, but please reach out to schedule an interview.
