Rate: Special Agreement $1332 weekly minimum Additional info: Audition Lunch 1:30 PM - 2:30 PM First Rehearsal: Friday, November 22, 2024 Opening: Friday, December 6, 2024 Closing: Sunday, December 15, 2024 EPA Procedures are in effect for this audition. Male presenting. Tenor (Ab2-A4). Born a human but raised at the North Pole as a Christmas Elf, Buddy is eager to find his place in the world. He is a child at heart and that child-like curiosity makes him both endearing and gets him into trouble. Sings: “World’s Greatest Dad”, “Sparklejollytwinklejingley” and “The Story of Buddy”.

JOVIEBoth genders25-35 y.o.All ethnicities

Female presenting. Alto (G3-D5). Buddy's girlfriend. She works at Macy's and has a bit of a cynical outlook on life and love because of the men she's dated. She is caught off guard by Buddy's genuinely big heart. Sings: “Sparklejollytwinklejingley”, “A Christmas Song”, and “Never Fall in Love (With an Elf)”.

WALTER HOBBSBoth genders50-60 y.o.All ethnicities

Male presenting. High Baritone (A2-G4). Buddy's workaholic father is a children's book writer but lacks any of the childlike spirit that Buddy has. He is selfish, tense, and generally angry with life. Sings: “In The Way” and “The Story of Buddy.”

EMILYBoth genders40-50 y.o.All ethnicities

Female presenting. Alto (F3-D5). Walter's wife is sweet and willing to take Buddy in, but she thinks he is crazy at first. Wishes her husband would spend more time with the family. Sings: “I’ll Believe in You,” and “There is a Santa Claus.”

SANTABoth genders60-80 y.o.All ethnicities

Male presenting. Baritone (A2-D4). Just another workingman. Loves his job and Christmas, but also likes to kick-back and watch the game when a rare opportunity arises. A natural storyteller. Sings: “Christmastown” and “Nobody Cares About Santa (Reprise)”.

DEBBoth genders25-55 y.o.All ethnicities

Female presenting. Alto (C4-C5). Walter's secretary, she takes an instant liking to Buddy simply for the novelty of it. Though she aims to please and is a bit of a suck-up, she feels under appreciated. Moves very well. Sings: “In The Way” and “Just Like Him”.

Male presenting. Baritone (B2-F#4). Buddy’s manager at Macy's. He is a good, friendly guy just trying to do his job and get by. Sings: “Sparklejollytwinklejingley” and “Nobody Cares About Santa”.

MR. GREENWAYBoth genders60-80 y.o.All ethnicities

Male presenting. Tenor (E3-A4). Walter's boss. He is what Walter will become if he continues down the path he is on. A tyrannical, workaholic who cares nothing about the people around him or who work for him. Sings: “The Story of Buddy.”
