Theater Auditions for Upcoming Productions
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Directors are currently in need of male and female performers for the upcoming shows. More details are below. About the productions: "THE SECRET OF SANTA’S WORKSHOP" (A CHRISTMAS MUSICAL MELODRAMA) SYNOPSIS: The evil Edna Frost steals magic dust to affect the speed of time and the ability to fly so that she can claim to be the first person to discover Santa’s Workshop and the North Pole. "CONJURING A NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS" (A SPOOKY MUSICAL) “Crystal Ball is connecting with the spirit world and conjures some familiar, and some not so nice, characters from A Nightmare Before Christmas". GHOSTBUSTING “The Ghostbusters are trying to capture spectres, but things go awry when the Dark Lady appears". WONDERLAND TEA PARTY “The Mad Hatter learns The Queen of Hearts and several guests are coming for Tea.” THE RETURN OF HOOK, SWORD FIGHT “Earth is in danger and the only solution is…Captain Hook.” HALLOWEEN ROYAL RUMBLE “Beetlejuice referees a ghoulish wrestling event for the doomed and departed. Every 90 seconds another Ghoul enters the paddock. The last Ghoul in the pen wins the bones belt in a choreographed wrestling event.” Rate: Volunteer. Additional information: HALLOWEEN REHEARSALS: Rehearsals will begin at the end of September and will continue until the first performance on October 22. For Scripted Shows: There will be 1-2 rehearsals a week and actors will only be called as needed. Meet & Greet Characters will have a couple of short rehearsals before the event. Rehearsals will consist of evenings (6pm-10pm) and weekends (various times). The specific rehearsal dates will be set after auditions, considering actor’s schedules. HALLOWEEN PERFORMANCE DATES: Tue, Oct 22 (7pm-9pm – Preview) Thu, Oct 24 (5pm-9pm) Fri, Oct 25 (5pm-9pm) Sat, Oct 26 (5pm-9pm) Sun, Oct 27 (3pm-7pm) Performers must be available for all performance dates. CHRISTMAS REHEARSALS: Rehearsals will begin at the end of September and will continue until the first performance on December 7. There will be 2 rehearsals a week and will consist of evenings (6pm-10pm) and weekends (various times). The specific rehearsal dates will be set after auditions, considering actor’s schedules. CHRISTMAS PERFORMANCE INFO: Call time will be 10:30am. Performers will be released after the last performance of the day (around 4pm) Performance Dates are December 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, and 22. There will be two casts. Performers will be cast in either the Saturday or Sunday performance dates. AUDITION REQUIREMENTS: Prepare given sides (to be sent upon audition confirmation). Applicants need not have any formal training. Actors interested in auditioning for The Secret Of Santa’s Workshop, Conjuring A Nightmare Before Christmas ONLY: Please prepare only a 60sec selection of one Christmas Carol or a Musical Theatre song to sing. Please bring your own accompaniment. A speaker will be provided. No accapella. (note: not all roles in these shows are singing roles). DEADLINE TO SUBMIT: September 11, 2024 @ 5pm.
