About the project: SYNOPSIS: Based on author Louisa May Alcott's life and her book of the same name, Little Women follows the adventures of four sisters, Jo, Meg, Beth and Amy March, as they grow up in Civil War America.The beloved story of the March sisters is timeless and deals with issues as relevant today as when they were written. Produced nationally and internationally, Little Women has been praised by critics for its ambition in adapting such a well-known story for the stage. This timeless, captivating story is brought to life in this glorious musical filled with personal discovery, heartache, hope and everlasting love - the sounds of a young America finding its voice. Little Women embodies the complete theatrical experience, guaranteeing a night filled with laughter, tears and a lifting of the spirit. Additional info: CALLBACKS: Saturday, September 21 BY INVITATION ONLY, 12:30 – 4:30 pm. Please keep this time available in case you are called back. PRODUCTION DATES: Rehearsal Dates: September 29 to November 21, 2024 Typical Rehearsal Times: Sunday- Thursday evenings 6/6:30 – 9:30 pm, and Saturdays for fight and dance choreography and (Other times may be added, but will be with sufficient notice.) Not all actors will be called for all rehearsals. Actors may also be called for part of a rehearsal. (All schedules are subject to the Production teams’ needs and will be given by the Stage Manager) Please note the following dates will not be accepted as conflicts: Photo Shoot: TBD Tech Weeks: Sunday, November 23 to December 5, 2024 (there will be a Thanksgiving break). Even if you are out of town this week, or part of this week, you are still encouraged to audition. Performances: December 5 – December 22 (12 Total) Opening weekend: Thurs. Fri. and Sat. PM, Sun. matinee (4 performances) Second weekend: Thurs. Fri. PM and Sat. & Sun. matinee (4 performances) Closing weekend: Thurs. Fri.
