ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Directors are currently in need of performers for the production of "Joseph and The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat". See the details below. Rate: Non-Union. This is a NON-EQUITY production. All roles are Volunteer positions. Additional info: Performance Date(s): Preview Thursday, May 08, Opening Friday, May 09, Closing Saturday, May 31, 2025. Thursday to Saturday evening performances; Sunday Matinees: May 11, 18, and 25 HOLD OVER DATES June 01 to June 08, 2025. Submission Deadline: September 20, 2024. Actors are welcome to submit for any role(s) they have interest in, regardless of age or gender. Once your application has been received you will be contacted to confirm your time slot and date. If you have any conflicts, please note them on your audition application form. Please note that significant conflicts may affect your chances of being cast. Conflicts within the performance schedule cannot be accommodated. People will be assigned time slots as they submit online. Expect to stay approximately 2-1/2 hours for the audition. Upon arrival at the auditions, you will be greeted and checked in. Directors ask you to prepare 1 musical theatre song in a pop-style similar to the show. Please bring a second, contrasting song as you may be asked to sing something else. An accompanist will be provided. PLEASE BRING SHEET MUSIC in the correct key. All auditionees will participate in a group DANCE audition following their singing audition (groups of approximately 15). For the dance call please bring any dance shoes you have (tap, jazz, ballet, pointe, etc.) and/or lightweight running shoes. Wear clothing you are comfortable to dance in (specific dance wear is not required). You may be asked to attend the call-back audition. Information will be sent to you in a separate communication. (Tenor) Male-presenting actor, to play the eleventh son of Jacob. Obviously his father's favourite, Joseph early on shows a talent for interpreting dreams and telling the future. This gets him into trouble with his brothers when he predicts his future will include ruling over them. However, this talent saves his life when in Egypt he correctly interprets Pharaoh's dreams.
