About the project: The beloved film classic comes to the stage in a charming crowd-pleaser featuring one glorious Irving Berlin number after another, each celebrating a different holiday. The film one an Academy Award for the song White Christmas for being the best original song in 1943. Irving Berlin’s Holiday Inn tells the story of Jim, who leaves the bright lights of show business behind to settle down on his farmhouse in Connecticut… but life just isn’t the same without a bit of song and dance. Jim’s luck takes a spectacular turn when he meets Linda, a spirited schoolteacher with talent to spare. Together they turn the farmhouse into a fabulous inn with dazzling performances to celebrate each holiday, from Thanksgiving to the Fourth of July. But when Jim’s best friend Ted tries to lure Linda to Hollywood to be his new dance partner, will Jim be able to salvage his latest chance at love? Additional info: Show dates: December: 6-8 & 12-15, 2024 PREPARATION Vocals: Prepare 16-32 bars of a Broadway song that best shows your range and vocal talent in the style of the show. Supply accompaniment on your cell phone. A bluetooth speaker will be provided. No Acapella. Dance: Dress comfortably and be prepared to dance.Bring tap shoes if you have them.You will be taught a dance combination and be asked if you tap dance.There are several tap numbers in the show as well as other styles dance.
