Seeking actors with strong singing voices for "Christmas Ain't A Drag" the musical. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Please see the breakdown below. About the project: The show tells the tale of four lonely individuals whose lives intersect at a nightclub on Christmas Eve. Brad has lost love and is eager to find it. Holly is always looking for love but never seems to hold on to it. Trish has walled herself away from love. And, Nick is trying to break those walls down. Then there’s Benedict, the owner of the club – a bah humbug kinda’ guy. In the end, love conquers all! They discover love and the magic of the holiday – proving Christmas should never be a Drag! Rate: Weekly stipend (2 weeks) paid by producer. Additional info: REHEARSALS: December 2-8. TBD. DRESS REHEARSALS: Monday, December 9, 6pm. Alto/Tenor. Star of the club. Exquisite taste. Female Impersonator/Drag Artist who is an extraordinary emcee a la Hedwig or J. Harrison Ghee. Loves the holidays, loves the sparkle, loves the audience. Drag experience necessary.
Alto. Incredible singer. Family minded. Single mom. Tough as nails manager. She is the heart of the bar. Quick wit and comedic skills a plus.
Low Tenor/Baritone. A long time touring musician who’s come home to care for his ailing father. Singer/guitarist/band leader.Former ladies man, in love with Trish. Emcee skill necessary. Band leading skills necessary.
