About the project: SYNOPSIS: Set in modern-day Manhattan, the story follows "Ben" Scrooge, a prominent interior decorator, and his assistant Bob Cratchit, who endures the abuses of Scrooge while simultaneously trying to take care of his lover, Tim. With humorous twists on the three Ghosts, including an over-the-top drag queen as the Ghost of Christmas Present, this retelling through a queer lens follows Ebenezer Scrooge’s as journey of self-discovery and redemption. Rate: $458 weekly minimum (Ref. to LORT) - 2023-24 rates - negotiations pending Additional info: Callbacks will take place on Monday, September 9 from 6 pm to 10 pm. Rehearsals begin: on November 11, 2024. Performances: December 6 through 15, 2024 (4 performances per week). Rehearsals at the Uptown Players offices will be on evenings and weekends. Please also bring your headshot and resume stapled together. The auditions, callbacks, and rehearsals will follow all COVID protocols.
