About the project: When 12 year old Ashley meets Lisa in the park, she ridicules her because she collects bottles to survive. Later, when Ashley gloats to her mother Cyndi about meeting this “pathetic” girl, Cyndi is horrified. She can’t believe her daughter could be so cruel and caring towards someone in need. When she forces her daughter to apologize to Lisa, Cyndi meets Lisa’s mother Shari, a surprising person from her own past. Rate: ACTRA MIP HONORARIUM. LEAD ROLE. Cyndi is a mom and a successful business woman. She has a great relationship with her daughter, but learns that her daughter has developed an entitled attitude about the success they enjoy. Cyndi came from humble beginnings and is determined to make sure Ashley learns to empathize with the less fortunate. MUST BE AN ACTRA MEMBER - FULL OR APPRENTICE.
LEAD ROLE. Shari is homeless and impoverished. She once worked as a store manager in the past but lost her job after becoming pregnant and her life never really recovered. She’s done her best to raise her daughter Lisa in these impossible circumstances. MUST BE AN ACTRA MEMBER - FULL OR APPRENTICE.
