ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ADMITTED. Casting directors are currently in search of actors who will play roles in the production of "Sequelity". More details are below. About the project: Synopsis: After the recent passing of Ruth’s mother, her grief manifests in ways that haunt her psyche. Ruth’s friends attempt to anchor her back to normalcy but in turn, further induce her paranoia. The lines between reality morph and muddle, pushing Ruth to her breaking point. With themes of mental illness, religious motifs, and loss, Sequelity aims to explore the intense and unique experiences that come forth when facing a massive change by oneself. Think a dynamic thriller with visuals alike to Saltburn, Suspiria 2018, and The Eternal Daughter. A sort of ghost/haunting/grief experiencing story revolving around a young woman. Rate: Actors will receive a $120 honorarium. Additional information: Shoot Dates: Oct 5-6 + Oct 12-13 (pickup shoots TBD but should also be a weekend in October). Submission deadline: September 10th. When applying, please submit audition tapes. Resumes and demo reels are encouraged as well.

AA Women Prioritized (However all POC Encouraged). Ruth is university student in her early 20’s who’s mother recently committed suicide. Ruth is a quiet and introverted character who holds her tongue until her patience has run thin, revealing her erratic side. She’s a literature major who loves to read books. She’s a people pleaser. Looking for someone who is able to exercise an extreme range in order to depict many stages of grief.

MargotFemale18-23 y.o.All ethnicities

Supporting Character. Open ethnicity (However POC encouraged). Ruth’s childhood friend, although it has never been the healthiest of friendship. A snarky attitude that can come across as insensitive. Tends to take things too personally, with a toxically competitive nature. Unspoken dependent on Ruth, but after Ruth changes suddenly, Margot has subconsciously felt abandoned. Alternative style, interests, attitude.

Supporting Character. Open ethnicity (However POC encouraged). A newer friend to Ruth and Margot. Acts as a mediator between Ruth Margot, however with an undertone of misogyny. Is a literature major and shares similar interests/experiences of grief to Ruth.
