"Baskerville" Stage Play Looking for Cast
Actors needed for production of "Baskerville". ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. See the breakdown below. Rate: LORT D Contract--$950.00 MINIMUM per week for all Actors, AEA and non-union. Additional info: General Audition Requirements: Actors should prepare two (2) contrasting contemporary monologues no longer than 1 minute each. At least one of which is in Standard RP/British dialect, and one that showcases their comedic/clowning skills. In Person Callbacks: Monday September 23rd; will add 9/24 if needed. Video general auditions are due by Monday September 2nd. Video callbacks are due by Friday, September 20th. (Male identifying). Smart, grounded, and full of heart and wonder, lives to have adventures and assist his close friend Holmes. We see the play through his eyes. The heart and soul of the play.
(Male identifying). Must show great versatility and nimbleness physically and vocally (including multiple dialects). Plays multiple roles (over 10), including STAPLETON (seemingly geeky butterfly lover who conceals a psychopath within), BARRYMORE (mournful caretaker of Baskerville Hall), and DR. MORTIMER (A medical man who brings the case to HOLMES).
(Male identifying). Must show great versatility and nimbleness physically and vocally (including multiple dialects). Plays multiple roles, including SIR HUGO BASKERVILLE (a brutal, cruel Cavalier), WILSON (exuberant, hearty head of messenger office), SIR HENRY BASKERVILLE (young Texan relation to Baskervilles, open-hearted, earnest, ready for adventure and to fall in love), LUCY (loving wife of WILSON), and INSPECTOR LESTRADE (cocky police inspector).
(Female identifying). Must show great versatility and nimbleness physically and vocally (including multiple dialects). Plays multiple roles, including MRS. BARRYMORE (severe, humorless Swedish caretaker of Baskerville Hall), MILKER (scrappy Dickensian urchin boy), LAURA LYONS (pwner of a typing establishment; distraught and put upon, melodramatic), and DAISY (a maid with an odd laugh).
