Seeking Cast for The Upcoming Season
Seeking talent for the upcoming season. Calling all singers, dancers, and lovers of the stage. Please see the details below. About the project: Directors are seeking performers to fill roles for all shows in upcoming season: "FAMILY FRIGHT NIGHT II: THEY’RE BACK!" A spooktacular revue of skits and songs, with an audience costume contest! "ALADDIN AND HIS WONDERFUL LAMP" An original musical based on the magical fable. "THE DETENTION CLUB" An original children's show: When the answers to Ms. Kucey's test are stolen, 8 kids are sent to detention. They have one goal: to find the culprit and save their summer. "THE COLORED MUSEUM" This play with music is a provocative tour of eleven "exhibits" that celebrate, satirize, and subvert the African American legacy. "IN YOUR DREAMS" CABARET This FUNdraiser gives performers a chance to play a dream character in a scene or song that they've never had the chance to portray or would otherwise be "miscast" in. Are you a 60+-something-year-old who has always dreamt of singing "16 going on 17"? Or perhaps you know three women who would love to perform "I Got the Horse Right Here," swapping genders in the classic comic scene from Guys and Dolls? Additional info: Please prepare 16 bars of an up tempo tune and a ballad to show your vocal range. Bring sheet music (no Sondheim, please!). Actors will be given sides to read.
