LEAD. He is tenacious and deeply compassionate, living in lower-class conditions with her little brother, Ethan, who has Down syndrome and is on the brink of starting college. She works tirelessly at two demanding jobs - one as a janitor and another as a bartender - to make ends meet and cover everyday expenses.
MAJOR SUPPORTING. He is Debra’s younger brother, with Down syndrome. He has a childlike personality and sense of curiosity, optimism and innocence that would warm anyone’s heart - the sweetest person you could ever meet. He is entering his freshman year in college and has a genuine passion for photography. This is the core aspect to his identity, providing him with joy and purpose, coexisting with his desire to go to college - both are the only two things on his mind.
