Jasmine is Edna's best friend. Stately and sophisticated, she looks like old money. The truth is quite different. Her husband has ties with the underworld, but they hide it well. They love the good life, but the people they associate with can be sketchy. She's bright and funny, just don't mess with her. She just might tell her husband.
