Performers Needed for 2024-2025 Season Show
The company is holding auditions for 2024-25 Season and looking for performers, please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. About the project: "MIDNIGHT AT THE NEVER GET" It’s 1965 in Greenwich Village. In an illegal backroom cabaret called The Never Get, lovers Trevor and Arthur perform an act that unabashedly celebrates gay romance for like-minded audiences. As they croon their way toward the end of a revolutionary decade, facing the conflicting promises of professional success and personal liberation—will their relationship survive? Featuring a lush and seductive score inspired by the Great American Songbook, Midnight at the Never Get is a dreamy musical meditation on memory, personal and political courage, and the enduring power of love. "WE ARE CONTINUOUS" The son. The mother. The husband. Can they ever really know each other—or will there always be a chasm between them? When a crisis forces a gay Black man, his white lover, and his estranged mother to come together in face of the devout patriarch and insidious ideology that threatens to tear them apart, will the delicate foundations of their relationships begin to show cracks? Or will their personal bonds strengthen in the face of adversity? This uncompromising, intelligent, and lyrical play is a frank and profound exploration of family, self-discovery, and acceptance. "MERRY ME" While a mysterious blackout leaves a navy stranded near enemy territory, the libidinous Lieutenant Shane Horne puts her very specific talents to use, including with the general’s wife. Meanwhile, a famed Angel sends the Navy’s psychiatrist on an epic quest to save humanity. A subversive, sapphic sex farce of classically epic proportions, Merry Me is a madcap and mischievous mashup of ancient mythology and restoration comedy—and an ode to female pleasure.
