Content Creator Needed for Diverse Social Media Platforms

This role is crucial for developing and executing a comprehensive content strategy that resonates with our audience across all social media platforms, with a particular focus on video content and TikTok. Additional information: The ideal candidate will have a strong background in video production, graphic design, and copy-writing, enabling them to create engaging and impactful content that supports the advocacy goals. This position is based in either Toronto or Ottawa and reports to the VP Communications and Marketing. Primary Functions: Content Strategy Development • Develop a comprehensive video content strategy tailored to different social media platforms. • Identify key messaging and themes that align with the organization's mission and resonate with the target audience. • Monitor trends and insights in social media and video content to keep the strategy current and effective. Video Production • Plan, script, shoot, and edit high-quality video content that is engaging, informative, and shareable. • Collaborate with other team members to produce video content that supports ongoing campaigns and initiatives. • Ensure all video content adheres to the brand guidelines and is optimized for each social media platform. Graphic Design: Work with the company's Creative Director to: • Create visually appealing graphics and multimedia content to complement video productions. • Design thumbnails, title cards, and other visual elements to enhance video content and increase engagement. • Ensure all visual content aligns with the brand identity. • Create visually appealing graphics and multimedia content to complement video productions. • Design thumbnails, title cards, and other visual elements to enhance video content and increase engagement. • Work with the marketing team to ensure all visual content aligns with the brand identity. Copy writing: • Write compelling scripts and copy for video content that conveys the key messages effectively. • Craft engaging captions, descriptions, and other written content for social media posts. • Collaborate with the communications team to ensure consistency in messaging across all platforms. Performance Analysis: • Monitor and analyze the performance of video content across all social media platforms. • Use insights and analytics to refine and improve content strategy and production processes. • Report on key metrics and KPIs to demonstrate the impact of video content on the advocacy efforts. Collaboration and Outreach: • Collaborate with internal teams, including government relations, advocacy, and regional offices, to align video content with organizational goals. • Engage with influencers, community leaders, and other stakeholders to amplify the message through video content. • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas for new video content and campaigns.
