"The Man Who Came to Dinner" Play In Search Of Cast
Auditions for "The Man Who Came to Dinner" play. Actors needed. Please see the breakdown below. About the project: A brief synopsis: Sheridan Whiteside, a famously cranky but beloved radio celebrity, slips on the ice after attending dinner at an Ohio home. Forced to recuperate in place with a broken hip, he proceeds to turn that home upside down with the unbridled glee of an egomaniac. The Man Who Came to Dinner is a brilliantly witty comedy. It’s filled with fascinating characters, romantic intrigue, penguins, movie stars, and insults galore. This classic of the American Theater was written in 1939 and made into a film in 1942. It has been seen continuously on stages across the world ever since. Rate: All roles are unpaid. Additional info: The show opens Friday October 25 and runs through November 10th. Directors will begin rehearsals the last week of August. You must be available for run-throughs from October 7th through the opening. Auditions will be cold readings from the script.
