Acting Job in "Awkward Tension" Film
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Casting directors are currently looking for cast to portray roles in "Awkward Tension" film. Please, see the details beow. About the project: Julia, is recently hired for a passport ID service centre, where she takes passport photos for customers. She encounters an array of difficult people, from simple rudeness to dangerous violent ones. She must gather her senses to stay committed to this job -- or even survive the night. This film is a reflection on how often retail service workers face difficult people all the time, and what they must go through to keep their cool. Rate: Non union. Volunteer. Crafty and demo reel footage provided. Additional information: AUDITION LOCATION Zoom Online. SHOOT/PERFORMANCE DATE(S) AUGUST 10 & 11. SHOOT/PERFORMANCE LOCATION(S) Vancouver, BC. Fake plastic knife will be used on set. All possible violent objects are fake and harmless. SUBMISSION DEADLINE August 5, 2024. The main protagonist, has a bad habit of giving up too quickly, whether is comes to tasks that require some extra effort or when on the hunt for a job. When she finally finds a company that is willing to hire her, she tries her absolute best to stick to this job. Julia tries her best to be a kind sweetheart to customers, but after she encounters some extremely rude ones, and she doesn't know if its right to snap back at them or not.
Reynold is the manager of the passport ID service station, and has an ignorant mindset when it comes to minimum wage workers. Reynold is a workaholic, and practically lives for his management position, and dedicates his life into making sure this cooperation earns more money than it needs. He has a strong attitude when managing the workplace, but can be careless when it comes to other's feelings.
Amy is a modern day "Karen" and has a ferocious role in this story. She has an extremely high attitude and makes sure everyone knows that she is more important than others. Amy enjoys getting into fights and manipulating others into believing that she is always right. She also has a comedic touch to her character.
Chris is an aggressive man who acts kind at first but only desires money. He stands out from others due to his strong personality, being manipulative and persuasive. He feels that the world revolves around him and is careless about what others feel. He has a comedic touch to his character.
