Singing Audition for "Evil Dead" Musical Show

(Baritone-Tenor) Hero and iconic character of the musical, devoted S-Mart housewares employee evolves over the course of the show from a typical college student to a wise cracking Deadite slayer with his detachable hand chainsaw and 12 gauge "boomstick". Must be tall, in good shape, and good looking. Strong Leading Man Role, must strive to make Bruce Cambell Proud.

(Baritone-Tenor) A Prankster, Sexist and Ash's best friend. Thinks himself the brave one until he's forced to kill, then his panic leads him to flee. Returns to warn Ash about the woods and attempts to help his friend even as he is knocking on death's door. Returns as the Leading Deadite, rocking the stage with complete command of attention. Must display great Comedic timing

(Bass-Baritone) Massive, loud, energetic teddybear simpleton who lives in the woods. He may not have the cleanest overalls from the clothesline but is sure is Track-Savy; he leads our lost Annie and Ed safely to the cabin through a secret backroad. Comedic timing is a must

(Tenor) Annie's coworker, boyfriend, booty-call, and doormat. Travels with her to the cabin to proceed with their research of the Book Of The Dead. After turning evil, his confidence may lack but this "Bit Part Demon" is ready to belt.

(Tenor+Baritone) The Professor is Annie's father and occasional MC of the show. He traveled to the cabin to finish his research on the Necronomicon, unknowingly unleashing evil terror upon the cabin and all who inhabit. The Moose is a taxidermic moose head attached to the wall that is part of the Deadite Army. Character voice: The beloved Bullwinkle J Moose. (Actor Wielded Puppet)

(Alto-Mezzo) Ash's sister and the odd woman out in the group. Looking to spend a week relaxing, she is the recipient of Scott's jokes and torment. She is the only one to sense the evil surrounding the cabin. She is the first to be possessed, turning her into an aggressive, foul mouthed demon that speaks in very bad puns. Spends the majority of the show locked in the cellar. This is a physically and vocally demanding role.

(Soprano) The overbearing, sexy, explorer who finds missing pages to the Necronomicon and wants to reunite with her father to continue their research. Very bossy and drawn to Ash. Annie can be compared to a Female Indiana Jones. Must be comfortable in a tear-away revealing costume.

(Mezzo-Soprano) The typical girl next door. Sweet, thoughtful, and completely devoted to Ash, until she turns evil and tries to kill him. Laughs an annoyingly inordinate amount of time after transforming into a Deadite.

(Mezzo-Soprano) Drop dead gorgeous air-head. Easy and not too smart, Scotty's latest fling and looking to party. Just because she becomes an evil demon doesn't mean she can't look good doing it. Looking to cast Blonde! Comparative role: Karen from Mean Girls. Must be comfortable with a revealing costume and must be able to dance in tall heels.

This show is an "all hands on deck" musical. All ensemble roles are understudies AND they make up various smaller roles throughout the show. Ensemble members will be in all large dance sequences.
