Talent Wanted for "Tartuffe: Born Again" Show
The company is holding auditions for Fall Season 17 opener "Tartuffe: Born Again" and looking for performers, please see the details below. About the project: What do you do to stop an invasive cultish preacher who uses lies of biblical proportion to worm his way into your family life, and possibly your town, your city, your country? Through the brilliant storytelling of Molière and Freyda Thomas’ clever adaptation in rhyming couplets, we watch a southern family in the 1980s begin to recognize a taker in their midst in the form of televangelist, Tartuffe. Hilarious mayhem ensues as they recognize the danger, rise up, and remove the culprit. Tartuffe, Born Again adheres closely to the structure and form of the original. Moliere’s legendary comedic characters are delightfully at home in this modern-day version. Rate: $150 is offered to all cast members. Additional info: Show and Rehearsal Details: The show will open Friday, October 4th and runs through October 27th for four weekends: Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30pm and Sunday at 2pm. Rehearsals will begin around August 19th depending on cast schedules. Preferred schedule is Monday-Thursday, 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm. Please prepare a 1-2 minute comedic monologue and bring a current head shot and resume.

Orgon's mother. Has completely fallen under the sway of Tartuffe. She is the family’s Matriarch.
Orgon’s Young wife. She is a strong woman, intelligent and loves Orgon. Tartuffe is in ‘lust’ with her.
Orgon’s Daughter. She is a young woman in love. Blinded by love and hasn’t found her backbone to stand up to Daddy.
Orgon’s Son. He is a hot-head. He wants to overcome obstacles by destroying them.
In love with MaryAnne. Also Blinded by love. Not the brightest bulb.
Elmire’s Brother. He is the reasonable one and uses his intellect and wit to change things. He rarely takes things seriously.
A rogue televangelist. He is charming, charismatic and has Orgon wrapped around his little finger.
Personal assistant to Orgon. Devoted friend to MaryAnne. She tries to protect the family from Tartuffe. She is smart and wily.
Tartuffe’s appraiser.
A no nonsense FBI Agent.
