About the project: Synopsis: A young cinephile, unable to finish any movie, follows the guidance of a sentient cigarette to explore his masculinity and confront his existential crisis. Rate: Non-Union. Food and transportation (within London) will be provided. Supporting actors: Paid. Extras: Unpaid. Additional information: Filming in August. Location: London, ON. (Voice over but need to be on set). Male with a deep/raspy voice and some experience with voice acting. Major role in the short film, multiple lines. Role description: The Cigarette is a personified mentor and manipulator, guiding Thomas (the main character) towards traditional masculine behaviours. Its deep, raspy voice is both authoritative and cynical. The Cigarette is a crucial influence on Thomas, representing the allure and destructiveness of toxic masculinity.

Macho GodMale40-56 y.o.All ethnicities

Minor role, 1 long scene. Macho God is an embodiment of extreme traditional masculinity. He is an authoritative figure, exuding a mix of toughness and philosophical insight. Despite his hyper-masculine appearance, his posture and demeanor carry a subtle, unexpected femininity. MUST be okay with smoking fake cigarettes props.

Minor role, 1 scene. Need to own a suit. Thomas’s Father is a traditionalist, firmly believing in conventional masculine ideals.
