Acting Audition for "Written" Psychological Thriller
The company seeks talent for "Written", a noir crime & psychological thriller student film. See the details below. About the project: The film is about Sam, a former thief, trying to move on from her life of crime. However, she's haunted by the spirit of someone she killed in her last robbery. Sam tries to make money the right way by becoming a writer; however, it's not enough to support herself. Her boyfriend, Kaden, and his right-hand man, Brian, convince her to return to crime for one final robbery. Rate: Depending on the character, pay ranges from $100-$400. Additional info: The shoot should last 4-6 days in August, dates TBD. The film will be 20-30 minutes long and shot in 6K, It's planned to be submitted to festivals and ultimately will end up on YouTube & Vimeo. Although she is cool, tough, and rebellious, she's a tortured soul, haunted by the spirit of someone who she killed back when she was in a life of crime. She tries to make an honest living, however, her environment convinces her to return to a life of crime.
A reminder of Sam’s violent past, constantly taunting the back of her mind, The Spirit was a victim of a robbery by Sam. He psychologically haunts her throughout the film, making her never forget what she's done to him. Is he a real ghost or a physical manifestation of Sam's guilt? (He's meant to be played similar to Candyman & Death from Seventh Seal)
Sam's boyfriend; a career criminal who believes taking from others is the only way to get ahead in life. He's ambitious, full of passion and charisma. Despite his selfish actions a thin layer of guilt fogs his vision.
The film's antagonist, and the ideological opposite of Sam, as he wants to keep presuming a life of crime. He is Kaden's partner in crime and best friend. Cool and calculated, there is no limit to what he'll do to satisfy his hunger for wealth. He's a real wild card.
Despite living in an area where everyone commits a crime and steals, this hardworking father is trying to make money the right way.
Caught up in the robbery of her father's store she'll do anything to protect him.
