Singing Auditions for "A Christmas Carol" Show
The company is holding auditions for production's of "A Christmas Carol", please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Additional info: Callbacks will be held on July 28th from 5:30am-8:00pm and are by invitation only. For your audition, please prepare: 1-2 sides from the A Christmas Carol (please see the attachment) You may be asked to stay and read for other characters, so be prepared to do so. 16 bars of a traditional Christmas carol to be sung acapella. (If you’re not a singer you can skip this but we do suggest trying!) Rehearsals will begin on or around October 14, 2024. A Christmas Carol runs December 2-28, 2024. Please apply if interested.

(CAST BUT LOOKING FOR UNDERSTUDY WITH SOME PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES) (Male Presenting) An old miser driven by greed. He has no sympathy for the poor, does nothing to any individual person in need nor his greater community, and thinks it is foolish to celebrate Christmas. Singing Role.
Scrooge’s former business partner, now a ghost; he has been dead for seven years. Marley never turned from his selfish, heartless ways, and his spirit now wanders the earth in chains as punishment. Actor doubles as Undertaker. Singing Role.
A benevolent spirit who conjures up scenes from Scrooge’s past to show him the events that led to his current state.
A jovial, larger-than-life ghost who comes back to show Scrooge all the joy, love, and celebration he his missing out on while those around him celebrate Christmas.
(Male Presenting) Scrooge’s overworked and underpaid clerk. Money is tight for him and his family, but they find strength in their love for each other and their hope for the future.
(Female Presenting) Bob’s beloved wife. She takes care of their children, working hard to stretch her husband’s small salary to pay for their needs. She resents Scrooge for his stinginess.
(Female Presenting) Bob Cratchit’s oldest child who has moved out but who makes it home for Christmas, knowing how important it is to the family. Happy, confident, and extremely kind to her younger siblings.
(Male Presenting) Scrooge's nephew and only living relative. He is a pleasant young man who believes in the good a joyful Christmas spirit can make in the world.
(Female Presenting) Fred’s better half, confident and strong, a modern woman who isn’t afraid to let her voice be heard. Actor also plays Charwoman.
(Male Presenting) Fred’s somewhat rowdy but entertaining friend.
(Female Presenting) A guest at Fred’s party and the object of Topper’s affections.
(Male Presenting) A handsome, young version of Scrooge. A romantic who dreams of a life with Belle, but is obsessed with becoming rich.
(Female Presenting; ) Scrooge's boyhood sweetheart, she is sweet and flirtatious. She is a beautiful girl, not impressed or in need of money.
(Male Presenting) Young Scrooge’s best friend, an outgoing and confident young man.
(Male Presenting) Scrooge first boss. He is a kind, generous man who holds a wonderful Christmas party every year for his employees.
(Female Presenting) The consummate hostess and Mr. Fezziwig's wife, she loved to help throw the Christmas party every year. Actor doubles as Laundress.
Octet of Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass: Serve as characters in the play in select scenes in addition to using their beautiful voices as singing storytellers; various ages.
