About the project: Monty, a middle-aged mime aspiring to become famous, faces life’s greatest tragedy when he loses Margot, his wife. Consumed by grief, he cannot find the strength to perform without her. Pressured by Eric, his manager, Monty is pushed onto the stage. But as he faces the audience, he also sees Margot’s ghost. As he pursues her, he gives the best performance of his life, but cannot reach her. He loses his sense of reality as the audience’s applause grows louder. He reaches fame but loses Margot in the process. Rate: Non-Union. Unpaid. Catering, craft service, IMDB credit, and demo reel footage provided. Additional information: STUDENT PRODUCTION. Monty is a passionate, eccentric man. His wife Margot is his greatest supporter and a pillar in his life. He aspires to make people laugh and dream, to give them a safe place to express their emotions. However, he takes his wife for granted to prioritize his career instead.
Margot is a selfless, sweetheart of a woman who has always supported Monty. She loves to dance and perform on stage, which is why she followed in Monty’s footsteps – both to support him and to live her dream. She is shy and reserved, which leads her to put everybody else’s needs above her own.
An ambitious, selfish, and greedy man. He grew up as the 6th child of 8, always forgotten and taken for granted. He had to earn money at a very young age as his family was poor. He is so scared of losing everything that he closes his heart and puts logic first, at all times. He is Monty’s manager and they have worked together for a few years. They used to be friends, but Eric’s thirst for money comes before all else.
