"Aunt Sally's Wild Ride" Stage Play Casting Men and Women

About the project: Synopsis: When Aunt Sally begins changing her decades-old routine, her friends and family grow worried. In a desperate attempt to get her back on track, and protect their inheritance from her erratic behavior, her niece and nephews call the family together to stage an intervention. Throw in nutty neighbors, a scantily clad former beauty queen, and a male model, and you’ve got a rollicking good time! This Southern Family Comedy is full of Old Nashville charm and modern family relationships that will have you rolling on the floor laughing one minute, and tearing up the next! Rate: Due to a grant, all cast will receive a paid stipend for their participation in this production. Additionally, those cast will have their names listed in the script as part of the world premiere production when the script is available for licensing in 2025! Additional info: Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. Headshots and resumes are helpful but not required Please come prepared to list all conflicts. A sample rehearsal schedule will be provided during auditions. Rehearsal dates: July 29-September 12 (week-long break August 12-16). Rehearsal dates will mostly consist of weeknight rehearsals. A bit high-strung, Aunt Sally’s niece, a bit controlling, but mostly just doesn’t like when things don’t go as she planned.
Catherine’s husband, the calming force in her life.
Aunt Sally’s nephew, lives in Dallas, has secrets and doesn’t seem to care too much about his family, though he’s always at least sincere.
Jim’s wife, ditzy, always scantily clad, and don’t you dare not hyphenate her last name.
The neighborhood busy-body, concerned for Sally’s “soul” but more likely just concerned about losing control over her “flock,” the blue hair Bible Boomers.
Tippy’s friend and side-kick, co-chair of the Bible study and everything else in which they’re involved.
Carefree, but starting to get serious about his life, just wants to be taken seriously, his parents died at a very young age, so he was raised by his sister, CATHERINE, and has never really settled down to a steady career.
Liam’s business partner and friend.
The housekeeper/nurse/only really good person in the bunch, foreign but you can’t really tell from where she originates.
She’s just over it all. She’s old, she’s tired, and she doesn’t want to follow conventions anymore. She's fed up with her family not coming to visit or pretending to like her for her money.
An incredibly handsome model, a little slow, but with a heart of gold.
