About the project: Beautiful is the inspiring tale about a girl who became King with a stirring book by the late Oscar and Tony-nominated Douglas McGrath and the music and lyrics of icons Carole King, Gerry Goffin, Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil. Featuring such unforgettable classics as "You've Got a Friend", "One Fine Day", "So Far Away", "Take Good Care of My Baby", "Up on the Roof", "You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling", "Will You Love Me Tomorrow", and "Natural Woman", this Tony® and Grammy® Award-winning musical phenomenon is filled with the songs you remember and a story you'll never forget. Additional info: Show date: November 8, 9, 10 & 15, 16, 17 Paperwork: If possible, please bring a copy of your theatrical resume. (*headshot is optional) Song: 32 bars of an up-tempo or ballad song from the 1950s - 1960s time period. Your audition song can be from the show; Monologue: You do not need to prepare a monologue. You may be asked to read a scene from the show. Dance: None. Piano: If auditioning for the roles of Carole King, Gerry Goffin, Barry Mann or Genie Klein, you may be asked to play short piece on the piano. This does not have to be memorized.
