Voice Acting Open Casting Call for a Short Documentary

ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Casting a VOICE OVER NARRATOR in the short, 15-minute documentary about Gordon Hirabayashi. More details are below. Rate: Non union. $300. Additional information: Recording will take place in August and will be less than 2 hours of time. Much has been written and celebrated about Dr. Gordon Hirabayashi’s life as a Japanese American and defender of US civil liberties, and rightfully so. There has been less attention on the subsequent decades of Dr. Hirabayashi’s academic work and activism here in Edmonton and Canada, where he lived for over 50 years. This short documentary focuses on Gordon’s achievements in Canada and is a testament of a long life anchored in principle and integrity, and motivated by a deep conviction that societies thrive when justice, peace, and equality are guarded and protected.
