"Play On!" Hilarious Comedy Play Needs Actors

Saint Petersburg, FL, United States
ID: 264670Exp: 7/30/2024
Description:

Auditions for the hilarious comedy "Play On!" Seeking actors. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Please see the breakdown below. About the project: Synopsis: This is the hilarious story of a theater group trying desperately to put on a play in spite of maddening interference from a haughty author who keeps revising the script. Act I is a rehearsal of the dreadful show, Act II is the near disastrous dress rehearsal, and the final act is the actual performance, in which anything that can go wrong, does. When the author decides to give a speech on the state of the modern theater during the curtain calls, the audience is treated to a madcap climax and a thoroughly hilarious romp. Even the sound effects reap their share of laughter. Additional info: Director is looking for strong actors with great comedic timing, who have high energy creating a great show overall and making the “Play within a Play” hilariously “amature”. Auditions will consist of readings from the script. You may be requested to stay past your audition time to read with other actors. There may be a possible call back on August 1st at 8 pm if necessary. Rehearsal begin August 11 at 2pm. Rehearsals will take place Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday at 7pm, and Sundays at 2pm.
