About the project: Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler’s landmark musical tells the tale of a resourceful pie shop owner and a vengeful barber out for blood. After he’s sent away by a corrupt judge, Sweeney returns to London years later seeking his long-lost family, and forms an unlikely partnership with Mrs. Lovett, who serves up pies underneath his former shop. Together, they wreak havoc on Fleet Street and serve up the hottest – and most unsettling – pies in London. Additional info: Perusal scripts are available after July 1, 2024 in the box office for 24 hours with a refundable deposit. Show dates: October 11, 12, 18-20, and 24-27 Rehearsals begin Mid August 2024 Audition Requirements: Please prepare to sing 32 measures of a Sondheim song or musical theatre song of similar style of your choosing. Please bring sheet music in the appropriate key or a karaoke track. An accompanist will be provided. There is no Monologue audition for this show. Your song is your monologue.
