About the project: Following the death of her mother at a young age, Maria struggles to find stability and, most of all, form a connection with her reclusive gardener father, Isaac, who uses his work as a means of escape from their shared loss. As Maria moves through significant years of her life, she tries to hide her grief with a carefree, independent attitude in effort to escape her father's bottomless pit of grief. Now as a young adult, we find Maria bound for a new life in a distant city but before she can leave, she seeks one last resolution with her father unearthing tensions and revelations over the course of a quiet summer night.
