Naively optimistic, a bit of a try-hard, puts on a brave face and makes light of events that really hurt her. She gets worked up about things that are important to her, but its easier to speak up for others than it is to speak up for herself.

Cantonese, English Disillusioned exorcist. Dead beat father figure to Jade. Very pessimistic view on the world. Inspired by Tony Leung in Infernal Affairs + Stephen Chow in Kung Fu Hustle.

Cantonese, Mandarin, very poor English Classic Chinese Mom, quick to anger, quick to criticize and nag. Often thinks the world is out to scam her or look down on her. Though she wants to be good and do nice things for others, her actions are often seen as overbearing and go unappreciated.

Cantonese, Mandarin, English Elderly, wiseman archetype monk with a young heart. Think Tenzin from Avatar. Becomes the mentor for Jade + Chen. Has a weird, very un-monk-like hobby like playing League of Legends or being an otaku.

British English, poor Cantonese Well dressed, snobby, nose raised in the air type character. Works for a Triad boss that dabbles in black magic.

Cantonese Bratty Chinese kid, a bully, foul mouthed. Is torturing an injured puppy before Jade chases him off.
