Musical Audition for "Newsies" Production

The company is holding auditions for production of "Newsies" and looking for singers, please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Additional info: The first read-through will be on Saturday, July 6th. First full production rehearsals will start July 8th through the end of August 24th, 2024, and will typically run Monday– Thursday Evenings from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm, and on Saturdays from 1 pm to 5:00 pm. Rehearsals will be broken up into two Vocal days, two Choreo days, and one for Blocking. The full calendar will be released once the show is fully cast. Please come prepared with: your Resume and Headshot 30 seconds to 1 minute of a song in the style of the show or a number from Newsies. Make sure what you select best shows off your vocal range and capabilities. Please bring your smart device with a music track of choice to accommodate your song (the song must not have backing vocals). Directors will have an amplifier available, so just bring a connector cable or prepare to Bluetooth in. Please also bring clothes that are comfortable to move and dance in with appropriate shoes to dance in (no open-toed shoes). Following the music audition, performers will be taught a dance combo from the show. Please apply if interested.
