About the project: Synopsis: An enchanting satire that tells the story of politics, blackmail, and marriage, Wilde’s play tells the story of Sir Robert Chiltern, a “perfect politician” with a scandalous secret. When his past actions start to catch up with him, his relationships are tested with society, old and new friends, and most significantly, his model wife Gertrude who holds him to the highest of standards. Additional info: Auditions will consist of cold reads from the script. Please note: The roles of Robert and Gertrude Chiltern as well as Lord Goring may require some moments of intimacy. Performances will take place August 16-18 and August 23-25. Performers will receive a donation-based stipend. Please see the attachment. If you are interested, please apply.
