Talent Wanted for Comedy Short Film
Casting actors for a short film, please se the details below ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. About the project: It is a family comedy. The film takes place in Northeast Philly in the 1980s and follows an Irish Catholic family of 10: 2 parents, 6 boys, and 2 girls who live all together in a 3 bedroom row home. Rate: This project is unpaid but meals and transportation (if required) will be provided! Additional info: Shooting this summer in Philadelphia, PA Friday August 2nd - Sunday August 4th. Irish American woman. Short hair is ideal but not required! Mom is trying to ensure that the christening party of her first grandchild is perfect, but she is stressing everyone out causing chaos in the process.
Irish American man. Pop disciplines his kids only when necessary because there are simply too many of them to work himself up over. Warm, charming, loves to sing. Tries to keep his wife happy.
Irish American man. Lighthearted, silly, fun. Convinces one of the brothers to sniff a cake and smashes their face into it. Loves a beer. Needs to have comedic chops!
Irish American man. First born son. In charge of the younger kids. First to get married and have a kid. Dry sense of humor.
Sweet, helpful, but has a nose for bullshit. Problem solver. Not easily affected by drama. Mother of Baby Erin who the christening party is for.
Irish American woman. Eldest daughter. In charge of the younger siblings. Tries to keep Mom calm and keep her away from all of the things that go wrong. Silly and sarcastic.
Irish American man. Golden boy, but funny. Mom's favorite. Gets into lots of trouble. Needs to have comedic chops!
Irish American man. Troublemaker, funny. Has to sneak a girl out of his room without the parents finding out. Needs to have comedic chops!
Pat's girlfriend. Has to be snuck out of the house during the christening party. Smart but gets caught up in the schemes of the brothers.
Irish American boy. Idiot younger brother with a big heart. Begins the short hungover. Tasked with fixing a figurine that breaks during the day. Comes up with a very... unique solution. Needs to have comedic chops!
