The company is holding auditioning for "Into the Woods!" Show and looking for actors, please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. About the project: “Be careful what you wish for” seems to be the ongoing theme in Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s Brothers Grimm inspired musical, Into the Woods. The story follows The Baker and his wife who wish to have a child, Cinderella who wishes to go the King’s Festival, and Jack who wishes his cow would give some milk. When the Baker and his wife are visited by the neighborhood witch, who reveals to them that she placed a curse on their family, the two set off on a journey into the woods to reverse the curse. Also in the woods, we meet Little Red, who is trying to visit her grandmother, the Wolf who loves tasty little girls, the Witch’s daughter Rapunzel, and the Princes chasing after their loves. By the end of Act I, everyone has gotten their wish and will seemingly live happily ever after. But in Act II, when Jack’s beanstalk brings them a visit from an angry Giant, we see how the consequences of their actions haunt them in disastrous ways. The community must come together to save each other and their kingdom, but sacrifices must be made. Additional info: Callback date: Saturday July 20 11am-3pm (if necessary). Performance location and dates: Oct 11-13, 18-20, 2024. Fri-Sat at 7:30pm, Sunday at 2pm. Audition Requirements: Prepare 32 bars of a Sondheim song (can be from the show). Cold readings will be provided. Please provide sheet music. An accompanist will be provided. Auditions will run in groups of two every 10 minutes. Please choose a slot from the available times. If the selection is active, there is room for you in that time slot. If it is grayed out and not selectable, the time slot is full. Please choose another time. Plan to arrive 5-10 minutes before your chosen date/time and check in at the table. Rehearsals: Rehearsals are set to begin August 12th. Please apply if interested.

The Steward is Cinderella’s Prince’s right hand man. He helps the Prince find his princess. Possible ensemble participant when not Steward.
Fabled consumer of sweets and consumed by the wolf. She is a relatively enfeebled family member of Little Red. Possible ensemble participant when not Granny
Voiceover. The Giant's wife is an angry and vengeful 'monster.' She is seeking restitution for her loss. Possible ensemble participant.
