"Curious George and the Golden Meatball" Play Seeks Talent

ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Directors are currently in need of male and female performers for production of "Curious George and the Golden Meatball". More details are below. Rate: $850 Honorarium for show run, $45 per performance for added performances you are in. Additional information: Self-Tapes also being accepted until May 29th at 9:00 pm. SHOW DATES (28 Performances): Sept 21st to Nov 10th. Saturdays and Sundays 10:00 am & 12:30 pm. NO SHOWS THE WEEKEND OF OCTOBER 26th / 27th Possible added performances for School Groups during the week based on availability. Flexible rehearsals scheduled 3 times per week. Read-through taking place the week of June 3rd with rehearsals beginning the week of June 10th. Longer days expected during tech week, the week prior to opening. Show Run Time: Approximately 50-60 Minutes. Please prepare a TYA Appropriate Monologue that showcases your ability to develop a strong, fun, and animated character from a child-centric perspective. Also please prepare a Musical Theatre song of your choosing (16 bars). The Music Director may not be available to accompany all of the auditions, so if you have the option of a track, please feel free to bring it. If you have any fun tricks, unusual talents, or something that you feel makes you unique, directors would love to hear about it. You may be asked to step into a cold read of a scene selection from the show. Experience in TYA an asset. When applying, please submit a copy of your head shot and resume.
