About the project: SYNOPSIS: This unusual comedy about spies stars Ada Westbrook, an elderly Ian Fleming type author, who is called upon to act as a liaison between our government and enemy powers. During her Caribbean vacation, a spy dies in Ada's house. He has on him secret plans every government is after and since the plans are on the body everyone tries to steal it. And it's moved all over the place until no one knows where it is. When the body's twin brother shows up there's even more complications. Who's dead, who's alive? Who is the Mr. Big behind it all? Additional info: Registration begins at 11:00 am. Auditions begin at 12:00 pm. Audition cuts: see the document attached. **Note that there will be some physical requirements of various actors to drag/carry a “dead” Goralsky or Michael around stage, in and out of closets and window seats. Rehearsals will begin in late July with two weeknight evenings a week and possibly a weekend afternoon, depending on cast availability/schedules. Middle aged man who is extremely distinguished looking. Has authority and commands respect from all he meets.
Definitely foreign looking with rather long hair. Speaks with an accent and tends to be rather brusque and quick-tempered. The person who is cast, should not mind being a dead body, getting stuffed in a window seat and dragged out again … a physical role.
Slightly older than Phoebe. Is not too bright but is continually doing his best. One feels he thinks he is extremely attractive and something of a matinee idol. Will be required to go in and out of a Russian dialect.
An affable young man. Behind his somewhat youthful appearance we sense a man of strength and courage and one who can meet all challenges.
Same age or a little older than Ada. Well preserved and charming with a sense of humor. Looks like a successful businessman.
A college gal who is full of life and vitality. Is very pretty and very much in love, which gives her an extra inner-glow of happiness. Note that she is in love with Guy and freely show affection with each other on stage (i.e. they kiss frequently).
Pre-med student and tends to be a great worrier. He is good looking with a polite even-natured temperament which occasionally gets stretched to the breaking point. Note that he is in love with Gail and freely show affection with each other on stage (i.e. they kiss frequently).
