In need of voice-over talent for "Scarlet Defiance-The Wall Between Us" a short visual novel. Please see the details below. About the project: Scarlet Defiance: The Wall Between Us is a short, Yuri visual novel about two young women–one human, one vampire–on a journey to find their purpose in life. In this prologue, each deals with separate struggles as they find themselves on a path that inevitably intertwines. This visual novel will be released on Steam and features LGBTQ themes, high-stakes action, and romance. This game does not feature NSFW or sexual content. Rate: This indie VN project is paying a rate of $2/line. Final pay for the project as a whole will range from $200-$1000 depending on role size. This is a non-union project. Additional info: Recording sessions will be live-directed with the vocal director over Discord. Sessions will last between 1-2 hours. There will be flexibility with the scheduling/timing of sessions, but the majority of recording sessions will happen in June and July 2024. Sessions will be scheduled based on EST (Eastern Standard Time). Audition Deadline: Friday, May 24, 2024, 11:59 pm EST. See the attachment for the sides. Sofia is a young woman in her early 20s, and the leader of the Human Resistance. Growing up in the Dominion of Pregada, she comes from a humble background where 90% of the population lives in poverty. Sofia takes a lot of time to open up to people. As someone who is in her own head a lot, she can be a tough one to crack. She is headstrong and likes to take on heavy burdens that she may not have the strength to carry; the kind of person that would let responsibilities eat her alive.
Karine is a young woman in her early-mid 20s. She was born into an upper-class family in the Dominion of Pregrada. Being the daughter of a major factory owner and weapons supplier, there was nothing she didn’t have–except for the woman she loved. The woman she’s loved since they were teenagers and her best friend, Sofia Agapov. This is a secret she has kept for quite some time.
Vlatka is a 150-year-old vampire and the sole heir to the throne of the Vampire Kingdom of Vesnica. She is a woman of many talents: swordplay, academics, magic, etc. She often finds herself bored with life. To outsiders, she seems like a cold, pampered beauty who has never struggled. In reality, she’s simply naive as to how the world works and susceptible to many dangers. Though she appears strong and elegant, she’s very fragile deep inside.
Nadya is a young woman in her early 20s. Born in the Dominion of Pregada, she was forced to find a way to provide for her family as soon as she was able. She accepts an opportunity to make a lot of money; by becoming a blood maid. She didn’t know that it meant she would be serving the royal family – the princess.
