Performers Needed For Musical "Young Frankenstein"

About the project: Mel Brooks' "Young Frankenstein" is one of the highest-rated comedic movies of all time, and starred legendary performers like Gene Wilder, Cloris Leachman, Marty Feldman, and Peter Boyle. "Young Frankenstein" is the story of Frederick Frankenstein (pronounced Fronk-in-steen), the dean of medicine at a prestigious American University who has renounced the wild stories of his eccentric grandfather bringing the dead to life. When his grandfather passes, the estate is left to Frederick who travels to Transylvania to settle the estate and return to marry his wealthy fiance, Elizabeth. In Transylvania he meets the untrusting townsfolk, lab assistant Inga, and the bizarre Igor (pronounced Eye-gor). Despite his resistance, Frederick becomes curious as to whether his grandfather's experiments could actually work with monstrous results! Additional info: Please prepare a song from the show song list below for the vocal audition. An accompanist will be provided for auditions, they will not be using tracks. Please see character analysis below and song assigned for vocal section. There will also be a cold read from the script as well as a movement segment. This show is PG-13. Be prepared to sing, dance, and have a great time. Rehearsals will begin mid-August and will run Monday through Friday from 6:30 to 9 pm. Show dates: October 3- October 13, 2024 (8 shows).
