"The Hand Crown" Upcoming Movie Audition
Casting call for "The Hand Crown" project. Seeking cast. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Please see the roles below. About the project: Genre: Psychological Horror Summary: If there was a chance to have your deepest wish granted, would you be willing to give up the only person who has kept you going for most of your life? Jesse does not pass up this opportunity and brings his childhood friend, Peter, to a cult for a ritual, said to grant whatever they desire if they make it to the final round. The cult leader, Mother, preys on Jesse's insecurities, causing him to doubt his every move. Jesse perseveres, but at what cost is he willing to pay in the end? Additional info: Caution: The content featured in this project includes various acts of self-harm and some gore in relation to the ritual performed throughout the script. Protagonist. (Queer). A rebellious runaway in constant peril against the world. He selfishly commits acts for his benefit, aware of the repercussions that will haunt him daily. Despite everything, he longs to be with his actual family.
Supporting. (Queer). A sensitive bookworm brought to a secret cult. His unhealthy attachment to Jesse clouds his perception of the situation, leading him to be brought to the cult (and ritual).
Antagonist (Feminine-presenting). An ancient witch of unknown origin. She oversees a cult of teens hidden deep in the forest. Her motherly charm cloaks her motivations.
The willful followers that round out Mother's unknown cult. Three of them participate in the ritual alongside Jesse, Peter, and Spencer.
